ABOUT
René Mandel, Berkeley Symphony’s former Executive and Artistic Director, presents A Viennese Sojourn, highlighting the music that tremendously influenced the Western classical canon. As one of the orchestra’s acting concertmasters, René brings his confident virtuosity into the intimate chamber music setting to envelop the audience in the sounds of the first Viennese school. The Berkeley Symphony & Friends chamber series would not be where it is today without the visionary leadership from René’s tenure.
