Biography

Charles Zhou was born in Shanghai, China, and started learning violin when he was 13. He played in the Shanghai Ballet Orchestra 1984-1986, then came to the U.S. to continue his music study in August 1986 at Music & Art Institute of San Francisco. Mr. Zhou joined Berkeley Symphony under the baton of Kent Nagano in 1987, and also played with the Vallejo Symphony from 1998- 2005.
