Ever wonder what it takes to bring a new symphonic work to life? Or how a composer chooses to orchestrate his or her musical ideas?
In Under Construction concerts, the orchestra brings to life freshly penned works by a new generation of dynamic Bay Area composers. The series lets you witness the collaboration and creative process of music-making and even join in on the dialogue between composer, musicians, and conductor!
This second concert of the series will be conducted by Education Director and Conductor Ming Luke, and features the completed and polished versions of compositions by Under Construction composers. Celebrated Bay Area composer Paul Dresher will be on hand to curate the concert, introducing the composers and facilitating a dialogue with the audience.
