Ticketing Policy
Ticket Exchanges
If you have purchased tickets for one of Berkeley Symphony’s regular season, Under Construction, or family concerts, but find you can no longer attend, we are happy to exchange your tickets for another performance.
Ticket Exchange Instructions: Simply call or email the box office prior to 3pm the day of the concert for Thursday performances, or 5pm Friday for Saturday or Sunday performances, and we will exchange your tickets for a different concert, or if no upcoming concerts are available, a gift certificate valid for a future performance within the next year will be provided.
Season Subscribers: Ticket exchanges are complimentary with your subscription!
Non-Season Subscribers: Ticket exchanges for single-ticket buyers are available for a $3 service fee.
Refunds
Berkeley Symphony is not able to issue refunds except in the event a performance is cancelled. We do try to remain flexible surrounding special circumstances. Please contact our box office for specific questions regarding refunds or exchanges.
Ticket Replacement
Berkeley Symphony offers ticket replacement for lost or stolen performance tickets. Ticket replacement for concerts at Zellerbach Hall are subject to a $3 replacement fee (waived for subscribers); Under Construction Series and Family Concert Series events will be replaced free of charge.
Ticket Donation
If you unexpectedly cannot attend a performance, tickets may be returned to Berkeley Symphony as a donation up until performance time. Ticket donations may be made via phone, by email, or by FAX during regular business hours. After regular business hours, ticket donations are accepted at the venue box office on the evening of the performance up until the performance begins. A receipt for your ticket donation will be mailed to you upon request.
Accessible Seating
Berkeley Symphony performs at three main concert venues: Zellerbach Hall, St. John’s Presbyterian Church, and Malcolm x Elementary School. All of our venues are handicap accessible. When ordering tickets, please let us know of any special seating accommodations that you require.
Late Arrival
Ticketholders arriving late for any Berkeley Symphony performance will be seated at the discretion of on-site staff. Please check-in with the box office or an usher if you arrive after the performance has begun for seating instructions.
Order Fees
Subscriptions: Ticket orders for subscription are subject to a $5 processing fee.
Individual Tickets: Individual ticket orders are subject to a $3 processing fee. Individual tickets purchased at the same times as a subscription or Flexpass are not subject to an additional fee.
Special Discounts
Subscribers: Receive an additional 10% discount on single-ticket purchases for concerts at Zellerbach Hall and 50% off Under Construction priority admission tickets. Subscribers also receive special discounts on Cal Performances events featuring Berkeley Symphony.
Students: Current full-time high school and college students with valid I.D. receive 50% off season subscriptions and advance single-ticket purchases. A limited number of $10 rush tickets may be available at the door.
Group: 10% off of single ticket orders of 6 or more tickets per concert. Please contact the box office via phone or email to arrange tickets for groups over 10.
Payment Methods
Berkeley Symphony accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Cash and Checks made payable to ‘Berkeley Symphony Orchestra.’
Redeeming Gift Certificates
If you have a gift certificate or credit that you would like to redeem for a regular performance ticket, please contact the box office directly via phone or email. We are unable to accept gift certificates and passes through our online sales module.
Lost and Found
We do our best to collect any personal items left behind at our concert venues. If you believe your item was lost during a Berkeley Symphony concert, please contact Maya Lawrence, Patron Services and Special Events Manager, at (510) 841-2800 x301 to see if it was found by a member of our staff. Items not claimed within 90 days of the date of a performance may be donated to a local charitable organization or turned over to the police.
